Preparing for Another Move!

By or Before: December 2023

In some ways we think we can understand some of the feelings that Abram was maybe experiencing.

God told him to leave his home and to go to wherever God was going to show him. And God didn’t give Abram a roadmap to follow or specific instructions as to where to start making a home. Abram did not have Google maps to help him navigate. He didn’t even have a road Atlas…remember those?

God essentially said, “Follow me and trust that I will provide for you in the timing I know is best for you, and I will lead you each day to the place I want you to be at for that day” (my paraphrase). And Abram chose to trust God understanding that God is someone who always follows through with what He says. God’s track record and His character were helpful for Abram to walk by faith and move when He said move.

God is just that for us too. We have moved 4 times in the last 11 months. Each move has had its challenges, but we totally are confident that each move was guided by God. In moving to Mexico we knew that we were going to bring “everything we owned’ with us. God even provided a house for us for the first 6 months of our time here in Mexico. God provided this home BEFORE we even were at the place in our support where we could leave for Mexico, but we took this as God essentially saying, “Follow me, trust me. I am the One who is going before you. I will continue to provide for you. Look at how I’m preparing the way before you. Trust me. Work hard, but trust me. I’ve got you.” It was so amazing to come to Mexico and live in a house that was already furnished. This home has been a HUGE blessing to us and there is so much to celebrate in how God has provided for us.

And as I say that December is fast approaching and it will be time for ANOTHER MOVE. This time our move will be a little more involved as we will be needing to fully furnish the house with EVERYTHING!

  • Is it stressful knowing that we are moving soon? Yes!
  • Is there a lot of uncertainty about how God will provide? Yes!
  • Do these things cause us to lose faith? No, not at all!

It is so cool to be in this needy place, knowing that He WILL provide and we get to be recipients of His provision. This has been taking us to His feet every day in prayer asking that our hearts will be sensitive to what He has for us during this time.

In saying this, there is a REALLY COOL possible option for a house to rent BUT it is something that we NEED YOUR PRAYER!

Here are some of the reasons we love this option:

  • It is two blocks away from where we are living now
  • It is close to Coco’s school
  • It is close to the office where we will be having Spanish sessions each week
  • It is right across the street from the pastor of the church we have been going to here in Chihuahua
  • We already know this neighborhood and love the location
  • It could be available for us to move into in December!

We NEED prayer because….

  • It is in the middle of being built! Literally bricks are still being laid each day (projected finish time in in December!) It’s progress is pictured below and timelines aren’t always followed as ridged down here.
  • We don’t know the details of the house (how many rooms and bathrooms it has, how much it is to rent, etc)

All that said, we would love for you to be in prayer with us. There is some more information yet to be found out, but again we are finding our hearts loving the idea of renting this NEW house! Pray for this process and pray for our hearts as well!

We have put together a list of tangible needs for our move which include both household and personal items. If you are interested in blessing us in this way HERE ARE THE LINKS:

Personal Needs

This is the front of the house that is building built as it stands this month. We have heard that it will be ready in December! Please pray with us that it would be. There are so many factors that could make it challenging for it to be ready by the time we need to move. God knows and we can trust that He has what’s best for us! (pictures taken 9.13.23 and 9.20.23 respectively)

We know God may redirect us to an entirely different house, and we would be perfectly okay with that. In saying that, join us in praying that this little house would be ready by December 2023! 🙂

THANK YOU fellow teammates!

Our Current Monthly Need: $800 Monthly

The numbers:

In order to be 100% funded, we still need $800 in monthly support.  If the Lord is prodding at your heart at being a part in what He is doing through us, please reach out to us!

On top of our monthly support needs, we are seeing the need to save for our up-and-coming move. Moves cost money, and we have put together some lists of what we are looking to get. We also have different funds where you can contribute to whether that be for furnishing our new house or a vehicle we are hoping to get within the next year. Here is the link to see this page on our website:
